The VideoClipMiniSites script on Godaddy
I have had a number of questions related to the VideoClipMiniSites video site builder and how it works on Godaddy web hosting. Here is my experience with Godaddy hosting.
I do have the script working on the Godaddy Linux Economy Hosting. You can see the site here:
If you have the Godaddy Deluxe or Premium plans with “Unlimited Web Sites” you may run into problems IF you install the script on any domain other than the primary domain.
For example, let’s say your primary domain is myprimarydomain.com. You can install the VCMS script in the root, making it the main website, on myprimarydomain.com. Or, you can install the VCMS script in a folder like myprimarydomain.com/videos.
Unfortunately the script will not work when installed as a sub domain on Godaddy - Example: videos.myprimarydomain.com
If you are installing the VCMS script on a secondary domain (Website) on Godaddy, like mysecondarydomain.com you will also have problems.
Unfortunately Godaddy does some things differently when setting up subdomains and addon domains. This prohibits the VCMS script .htaccess redirects from working properly.
I’m sorry, that the VCMS script has these issues with Godaddy, but I can tell you any script that uses .htaccess to create SEO friendly pages will have the same issues. I’m sure you will find, if you haven’t already, other scripts that do not work well with Godaddy.
My recommendation is to find a more standard web hosting service that uses cpanel. Most other web hosts use cpanel, Godaddy is one of the few exceptions. Almost any other web host will probably work, and you can find them for as little as $4 - $10 per month.
A great inexpensive host is Hostgator
If you purchase the HostGator hosting from my affiliate link - Click Here - I will install the VCMS Lite script for you at no charge.
If you have already purchased and full version of the VCMS script and you signup with HostGator, I will install the full version for you at no charge.

Godaddy is truely a good hosting provider, cheap and reliable.
Good choice

Personally, I would never recommend Godaddy hosting to anyone. They are a great domain service, but their hosting is non-standard compared to the rest of this hosting industry.
My experience is the GoDaddy control panel is slow and awkward. You can find standard cheap and reliable hosting for the same price at several hosting companies today.
If you start trying to install php tools, you will run into problems.
Just my opinion

I used Godaddy for about a year and noticed pretty slow website and sluggish performance. I switched to Hostgator and it was like night and day. I still have my domains at godaddy and hosting at hostgator.
