If you have been marketing on the internet for very long, you have heard “the money is in the list”. It’s true, generally speaking the bigger your list, the more money you will make.

The problem for most people is they don’t have a clue as to how to build a list.

The best way to build a list, is to create a landing page to direct potential subscribers to, and then give something away in return for an email address.

Then the problem becomes - do I have something of value I can trade for an email address? Once you determine your give-away, you have to build a lead capture page to send traffic to.

Then you have to integrate your autoresponder into that lead capture page. And then, you have to create autoresponder messages to send to the subscribers, giving them the download link.

Oh, did I mention you also have to create a download page where subscribers can get the product.

Wow, I get tired just thinking about all that work. But, you don’t have to do all that work.

Smart marketers have found ways to help you out…or, are they really helping you out.

Here is what you’ll be presented with.

“Look, I have a lead capture page that is working great. You can sign up as an affiliate and promote my product. Just send people to a lead capture page, coded just for you, that gives away a great free product. I even host the page for you.

I follow up with your prospects and if they buy one of my products, you get paid. All you have to do is signup to my affiliate program, get some traffic to the site and I will do all the rest.”

That sounds pretty good! This is something that is very common in the internet marketing world, and there is certainly nothing wrong with that - I do it myself.

The only drawback to doing that, is you are building someone elses list. You are sending potential newsletter subscribers to someone elses list. These prospects may buy, and you may get paid a commission, but wouldn’t you rather have them as your own prospects.

Here’s a better idea. I will give you a lead capture page, that gives away a great software script for free. You can install that lead capture page on your own host. This lead capture page will be tied to your autoresponder.

I will even give you a high quality autoresponder series you can earn from. And, your subscribers can download their free product from my download page so you don’t have to mess with that.

So, here’s how it would work. You send traffic to the lead capture page I provide that is hosted by you. It will look like this: http://videoclipminisites.com/free You gather subscribers by giving away a free product I provide.

When visitors subscribe, your first autoresponder message directs them to the free product download link on my host.

Your autoresponder sends a series of email messages, that I provide, to your subscribers offering them a couple of products that you can earn commission on. These messages are sent over about a two week period.

Since these are your subscribers, you can email them anything you want at anytime you want. You don’t even have to use my autoresponder messages if you don’t want to.

So, you get to build a newsletter list that is truly yours and yours alone. I get my free video site creator software out there, and we both make money when your subscribers upgrade to the pro version of the software.

Plus my autoresponder series promotes a business package that you can make about a $75 commission on.

We both win - I like it!

Okay, just to be clear - you need your own web hosting account to host your lead capture page. If you don’t have web hosting, I can recommend a great web host that goes for about $10 per month.

You need an Aweber autoresponder account. That goes for about $20 a month to get started. If you want to build a business online, you WILL need an autoresponder account for your newsletter list.

If you already have web hosting and an Aweber account, this will cost you nothing. If you don’t have web hosting or an Aweber account, you will get them if you are serious about earning money online.
