Wow, if you have logged into your YouTube account lately, you may have seen the YouTube Annotations under “What’s New”.

The annotation feature is going to create a buzz with the YouTube community.

Even though I haven’t yet used the annotations, I have read through the help.  It looks like you can set annotations to any videos you upload to YouTube.  Annotations can be used for things like speech, or thought, bubbles, comments about specific portions of your videos or displaying website addresses.

YouTube does mention putting links in the annotations, but it appears the only links allowed are to other YouTube videos or YouTube channels.

YouTube does state that this annotation feature is in Beta, so perhaps they’ll allow links to sites outside of YouTube in the official release.

I hope to get to testing this annotation in the next few days.  I will post more after I play with the annotation feature later.

Until then, check out this card trick video below, and let me know how it worked out for you.  It picked my card, freaked me out.  I’m sure there’s some obvious catch, but I sure missed it.  I’ll have to try again later.
